For all those keen to know exactly where we will visit on our “Safari” next week, we have at last produced the Final Itinerary.

The route and leachate treatment plant sites chosen have changed since the earlier preliminary version, and this present route was only settled upon after much discussion.

The selection and number of sites is now at least as broad as in our preliminary route, but the mileage is lower, and the rest times for our coach driver match requirements much better. Time will tell whether we can achieve the visit and journey times allocated!

The final itinerary can be downloaded from the following link.

enviros-leachate-safari-2007-itinerary.pdf

Please remember to bring Personal Protective Clothing as stated on the Itinerary.

You will need Acrobat Reader installed to view and print this document.

We have also prepared a simple H&S Risk Assessment which, if you require it, can be downloaded from the following link:

enviros-safari-2007-risk-assessment-for-site-visits.doc

Leachate Safari - Places are filling rapidly, so register now to avoid disappointment!

The Enviros Leachate Safari tour of operating UK leachate treatment plants, which we began publicising through this blog in April, has now passed the half full stage, and the rate of new registrations has been rising rapidly this week.

We are delighted to receive so many bookings this early, for the 27 and 28 June event. But, with still over a month before the event, we are bound to have to disappoint some applicants.

Unfortunately, we will only be able to take one coach full, so it is very much on a first come, first served, basis.

We have bookings from leachate plant operators and managers, of both present plants and future plants and for whom we are designing, procuring and commissioning new plants at present.

We also have Environment Agency regulatory staff joining us, and possibly SEPA and EPA (Ireland) attendees, will also be present.

There is likely to be at least one research student joining us as well.

So far, our visitors will be arriving from England, Ireland, and Sweden.

If you have registered for this email newsletter on the http://www.leachatesafari.com/ blog, and have been considering joining us, but have not yet registered using the form here then don’t delay! Act now to avoid disappointment! We would especially not want our early subscribers to miss out.

Register for your place here, before it is too late!
